EDUCATION
M.A. Art Therapy, Lesley University, Cambridge, MA
B.A., Connecticut College, New London, CT
The most important years of my life were spent growing up on Swan’s Island, Maine. Beauty, isolation, independence, loneliness, and a deep relationship with the land have profoundly defined my adult perspective, and my work.
I studied art as an undergraduate at Connecticut College, returned to Maine and worked various jobs before returning to school to study expressive therapy at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. I only returned to making art after realizing while writing my thesis that nothing else had any meaning for me. I found Mudflat Pottery School in Somerville and never turned back.
Since that time my life has been a slow progression toward ever more embracing my artistic identity, while at the same time exploring a shifting definition of success.
